Automobiles in German City Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Police stated they were contacted by a resident who found a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Roughly 50 vehicles have been covered with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German town of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Cars, building surfaces and postal boxes were vandalized, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they announced in a official communication.

Police say they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish substance.

The fluid had been placed in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Officers then found multiple other marked automobiles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under laws prohibiting the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement say preliminary tests suggest the fluid was likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no indication as to its source; officials are presently not informed of any injuries in connection with the incident," they added.

Local authorities stated they were working "to unravel the case" and have appealed to the community for information.

An important official said the attack left him without words and had to be resolved quickly.

"This event affects the very heart of Hanau and revives the pain of the far-right attack in 2020," he posted on social media, mentioning the murder of nine individuals by a shooter focusing on residents of immigrant origin in February 2020.
